Abigail Rossman represents and advises a wide variety of corporate clients in complex civil litigation matters involving several diverse areas of law, including construction defect, product liability, mass tort, labor law, privacy violations, commercial trucking, consumer fraud and general negligence in both state and federal court. Ms. Rossman regularly represents owners/developers, general contractors and subcontractors in both personal injury and property damage matters arising out of allegations of construction defect, New York Labor Law and negligence. Ms. Rossman also represents commercial trucking clients in personal injury and property damage matters, involving issues arising out of this highly regulated industry as well as cargo claims involving The Carmack Amendment. Ms. Rossman has extensive experience representing manufacturers, distributors and retailers of industrial machinery, textiles, exercise equipment and durable medical equipment in product liability and consumer fraud actions as well as a telecommunications client in negligence, New York Labor Law, product liability and privacy-related matters

Ms. Rossman's prior experience includes defending pharmaceutical companies in complex multi-district litigations involving products liability and consumer fraud claims brought on behalf of a nationwide class of purchasers and the attorney general's offices of multiple states. In addition, Ms. Rossman has experience defending and counseling corporate clients in matters involving employment law, commercial litigation and professional liability.

Memberships & Honors

Ms. Rossman is currently Vice Chair of the DRI Trial Tactics Seminar and Chair of Webinars for the DRI Trial Tactics Committee. She was selected in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 as a New York Super Lawyers - Rising Star.

While in law school, Ms. Rossman belonged to the Moot Court Honor Society, served as a legal writing teaching assistant, and received a Dean's Merit Scholarship. She also served as a legal intern for the school's Criminal Defense Clinic and Innocence Project Seminar. In addition, Ms. Rossman was an intern for The Honorable Joseph M. McLaughlin (Second Circuit Court of Appeals) and The Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh (D.N.J.) during law school.
